Name Artist : Zona Chen

Yu-Chien Chen (also known as Zona Chen) is a fine-art photographer based in Taiwan whose creative tool is a digital camera.
"Eyes have always had a mysterious attraction to me. Perhaps looking for something in their gazes represents my inner desire and fragility, and that I am eager to be understood and recognized.” - Zona Chen
I draw inspiration from the subtle interactions between people and personal life experiences, exploring the dependence and restraint of desire, psychology, and relationships. My works are restrained yet emanate emotional vigor and suffuse a dream-like metaphorical atmosphere.
I looks forward to exploring the deep spiritual nature of human beings and creating bonds of group empathy through these works, using intriguing images as the medium to stimulate thought and dialogue. I will combine static images, videos and installations.
I graduated from the Department of Fashion Design at Taipei Shih Chien University Taipei Campus.
I Attended The School of Visual Arts (SVA) Summer Residency Art Program in New York City in 2022.
My works are influenced by expressionism, surrealism, performance artist Marina Abramovic, Hong Kong film director Wang Jiawei, and Japanese photographer Yokonami Osamu.

Zona Chen是一位藝術家，專注於影像及複合媒材創作，畢業於台北實踐大學服裝設計系。
多從人與人間微妙的互動及個人生命經驗汲取靈感，探討日常、慾望、心理、關係的牽制與依存，作品有著飽滿的情感力度,，瀰漫著隱喻感的意象氛圍。
期待藉由創作探索人類深層的精神本質與群體共感，以影像及當代藝術作為媒介，開啟思考與對話，未來將嘗試延伸至3D影像領域，讓藝術創作遊走於虛實之間。
2022年錄取紐約視覺藝術學院 School of Visual Arts (SVA) 當代藝術駐村計畫，於計劃尾聲的公開聯展中展出令人耳目一新且備受歡迎的當代藝術作品：The Food Series(2022)、The Fish Series(2022)、Not Only Garbage(2022)、35 Meals In New York City(2022)、Orphans of the Street(2022)、$0.75/$1.75/$2.75 (2022)。
2022年10月以台灣藝術家身份參與法國巴黎商業藝術沙龍(2022 Salon Business ART FAIR)，同19位台灣藝術家在法國原皇室宅邸展出。
