The Gothic Window 歌德式窗戶

“「哥德式窗戶」是我整個系列作品的先驅。” 本作品作為系列的首發之作，是對我身處於過去與未來夾縫中，感到無所適從的情緒宣洩。 在畫面中，精緻的歌德式窗戶反射出刺眼的金屬光芒，而窗外佈滿了密集的機械紋路，暗示外界已被科技徹底侵蝕，暗諷著社會正逐漸被科技所綁架。在窗戶內，玩偶靜靜的看著窗外的變化，表現出無能為力的樣子。 作品是我對於對比、光影和材質運用的絕佳展現。利用強烈的亮色來體現窗框的金屬反光材質，並運用多種紅色調來表現科技紋路在不同光照下的光影變化。特別是窗內從上方投射的燈光，與窗外從底部向上發出的亮光，共同讓畫面構築出一個極具戲劇性的光影對立。 “‘The Gothic Window’ serves as the precursor to my entire series.” This work, as the genesis piece of the series, is a cathartic expression of my emotions, reflecting the feeling of being utterly adrift in the gap between the past and the future. In the composition, the exquisite Gothic window reflects a dazzling metallic glare, while the view outside is covered with dense mechanical textures. This symbolizes an external world thoroughly consumed by technology, offering a critique of a society gradually being bound by its own creation. Within the room, the puppet quietly observes the changes outside, conveying a profound sense of powerlessness. The piece is an exceptional demonstration of my command over contrast, light, and material application. I utilize intense brightness to realize the metallic sheen of the window frame and employ various red hues to illustrate how the technological textures shift under different lighting conditions. Notably, the illumination cast from above inside the room and the light emanating upward from the outside floor collectively construct a highly dramatic chiaroscuro (light-and-shadow contrast).
