Homesickness 思鄉

“「思鄉」讓我沉溺於回憶帶給我的安全感中。” 作品靈感來自“回憶三部曲”，我透過此畫作探討在科技不斷進步的現在，我們為何反而對舊時代的溫度愈發懷念。 作品畫面上，四周散落的殘破鐵塊是科技與進步的象徵，代表著未來；而畫面中央的古希臘石柱代表的是過去。布偶目光被光線所引導，癡癡地凝望亮光下的石柱，仿佛拋下了現實的一切，沉溺在過去的美好中。 我用紫色作為主色調，營造出既科幻又富有神秘感的氛圍，並巧妙地利用光影讓水中的倒影與空間層次感相互呼應。這件作品暗諷著人類在邁向所謂「未來」時，內心深處那份對陌生與不安的排斥，只能轉身在回憶中尋找僅存的餘溫。 "Homesickness makes me indulge in the sense of security that my memories bring." Inspired by the "Memories" trilogy, my painting explores why, in a time of relentless technological progress, we find ourselves increasingly nostalgic for the warmth of a bygone era. In the work, scattered scraps of metal in the surroundings symbolize technology and progress, representing the future. In the center, a classical Greek column stands for the past. Guided by the light, the puppet’s gaze is fixed on the glowing column, as if abandoning all of reality to indulge in the beauty of the past. I use purple as the main color to create a futuristic yet mysterious atmosphere, subtly using light and shadow to make the reflections on the water echo the spatial depth. This piece alludes to humanity's deep-seated rejection of the unfamiliar and insecure as we move toward the so-called "future," leaving us to turn back and seek the last remaining warmth in our memories.
