“我們真的對科技瞭如指掌嗎?” 本作品是關於人性與科技之間拉扯的抽象展現,我用其尖銳地批判著現代社會的問題:人們對科技進步盲目地追求,卻對其潛在的危機與後果一無所知。 作品裡,玩偶孤身踏上一座神秘的半圓形平臺,隨著一股不可控的浮力緩緩上升。四周佈滿著紅色的燈管與線路,烘托出既刺激又危險的氛圍。該場景現代人由於貪圖科技所帶來的即時益處,而不斷將其推向極限,卻對這場單向提升所帶來的影響毫無所覺。 在技法上,我利用黑色鋪底,讓畫面籠罩著一股深沉的神秘感。隨後,用鮮豔的紅色渲染整個畫面底部,讓光線從下方衝出。接著再用同樣的顏色在背景刻畫出電路與燈光,形成復古氛圍的科技感。背景的電路與燈光則用同樣的紅色刻畫,營造出獨特的復古科技感。最終,讓玩偶也被渲染成不安的鮮紅色調,強化畫面中瀰漫的不穩定與焦慮氛圍。 “Do we truly grasp the extent of technology?” This work serves as an abstract representation of the tension between humanity and technology, offering a sharp critique of a modern society that blindly pursues technological advancement without fully comprehending its potential consequences. In the piece, the lone puppet stands on a mysterious semi-circular platform, ascending as if propelled by an unseen force. The surrounding environment, permeated by crimson lights and exposed circuitry, cultivates an atmosphere that is simultaneously stimulating and dangerous. The scene reflects contemporary society, where individuals, benefiting from technology's convenience, begin to greedily push its boundaries, yet remain utterly oblivious to the profound outcomes and impacts this pursuit may bring. For the technique, I utilize a black foundation to shroud the canvas in a mysterious ambience. This is punctuated by a crimson wash from the bottom, where light emerges to suggest a latent danger. These same colors are used to delineate the circuits and lighting in the background, forging a retro-futuristic aesthetic. Finally, the puppet itself is bathed in a vibrant red hue, underscoring the pervasive sense of anxiety and instability.

Artist Introduction

Underdawn,出生於台灣彰化,英文系畢業,是主要以數位藝術創作的當代藝術家。從小和創作結緣,並從2020年開始以Underdawn為藝名展開創作旅途至今。風格與靈感融合了90年代動畫與對世界的記憶與想像。作品利用豐富的顏色與卡通角色作爲糖衣,包裹著自己對未來與人性所懷抱的浪漫凝視。

Underdawn從早期動畫中强烈感受到當時日本社會對現實的反思與未來的絕望。他們在社會的枷鎖中掙扎,以創作來宣泄,警告著世人未來充斥著末日的硝烟。身處當代,他在疫情後的孤寂與社會的失序裡摸索,將那份無奈磨成筆墨,借人性為秋毫,勾勒出自己對現在與未來的內心掙扎,徘徊在畫布之中尋找慰藉。即是對過去美學的傳承,也是自我的精神寄託,更是個人對未來的預言。
