The designer's grandfather was a fisherman, known in Taiwanese as a "Toh-ha̍i-lâng," which literally means someone who makes a living from the sea, closely reflecting the life of fishermen. The vivid colors of the fishing boats contrast with the deep sea, symbolizing fishermen's resilience and hopeful anticipation with each voyage.
