Since it’s Mid-Autumn Festival, I choose to use a humanoid
rabbit as my main character. Rabbits are known for their speed and
agility, but in this case, she is obviously wounded, and need to hold
a crutch to walk (The bandages wrapping her arms and legs sym-
bolised her wounds).
The thorns and muds on the ground symbolized the difficulty
and barriers a disabled or wounded person (the character) will face
in real life, represent the obstacles that stands between her dreams
and herself.
Despite being wounded and in pain, the character still bravely
walks through the thorns and mud, symbolizing overcoming the ob-
stacles and disabilities with courage, and to continue pursuing her
dream.
The bright moon represents not only the Mid-Autumn festival,
it’s also a beacon of hope. As the bright moonlight shin on her, it bri-
ghten ups the path in-front of her, even during the darkest hour
(represent by the dark night sky), and granting her courage & hope.
This piece is also a reflection of myself, visualizing my struggles
against my illness and disability, and the courage and hope I found in
the process.
